Hodiaŭ mi iros al la vilaĝo kun mia pli juna fratino. Ni volas aĉeti kelke da ovoj, legomoj kaj fruktoj por Patrino. Patrino preferas resti hejme, ĉar pluvas. Pluvis je ĵaŭdo kaj vendredo, sed hodiaŭ ne pluvas tre multe. La aero estas varma kaj agrabla, kaj ni portos ombrelojn kun ni. Ni aĉetos kelke da freŝaj pizoj, kelkajn melongenojn, maldolĉapastan panon, skatolon da fragoj kaj plurajn funtojn da sukero. Tiel, ni havos sufiĉe por la manĝoj de sabato kaj dimanĉo. Mi scivolas, ĉu ni vidos asparagon kaj brasikon sur la tabloj aŭ en la bareloj. Kvankam mi ne ofte manĝas tiajn legomojn, Patro kaj Patrino multe ŝatas kaj brasikon kaj asparagon. Ni aĉetos ankaŭ sufiĉe da lakto por pluraj glasoj da lakto, kaj ni bezonos multe da kremo por la fragoj. Ŝajnas, ke ni aĉetos tiel nombron da legomoj, ke ni ne povos porti ilin.

Dum ni staris apud la pordo, pretaj por iri al la vilaĝo, ni aŭdis laŭtan voĉon. Infano staris sur la strato, plorante. Li volis iri kun sia patrino por viziti kelkajn amikojn. Mi supozas, ke bruo sur la strato vekis lin, kaj li ne volis resti en sia lito.

I shall go to the village today with my younger sister. We wish to buy some eggs, vegetables, and fruit for Mother. Mother prefers to remain in the house, because it is raining. It rained on Thursday and Friday, but today it is not raining very much. The air is warm and pleasant, and we shall carry umbrellas with us. We shall buy some fresh peas, a few eggplants, a loaf of sourdough bread, a box of strawberries, and several pounds of sugar. Thus, we shall have enough for the meals of Saturday and Sunday. I wonder whether we shall see asparagus and cabbage on the tables or in the barrels. Although I do not often eat such vegetables, Father and Mother are very fond of both cabbage and asparagus. We shall also buy enough milk for several glasses of milk, and we shall need much cream for the strawberries. It seems that we shall buy such a number of vegetables that we cannot carry them.

While we were standing near the door, ready to go toward the village, we heard a loud voice. A child was standing in the street, crying. He wished to go with his mother to visit some friends. I suppose that a noise on the street waked him, and he did not wish to remain in his bed.
